Creative Shows for Kids

My husband and I like to limit television, so when we choose a television show for the kids to watch, we like for it to stimulate their imaginations and inspire them to explore the ideas they learn after watching. 

SHOWS FOR CULTIVATING CREATIVITY:

1) Mister Rogers' Neighborhood
2) The Slugs and Bugs Show (can be watched on Formed)
3) Out of the Box (includes many craft and storytelling ideas)

OTHER TELEVISION PROGRAMMING WE WATCH: 

1) Shows on Formed

2) Shows on Brave Plus which has television shows that are not overstimulating and that spark the imagination in a way that honors the child. We've been loving it!

3) Old school Disney movies- Mary Poppins is a favorite 

4) As a family, most of our Friday night "movie" nights are spent watching Fixer Upper. We love dreaming together, and our son LOVES Demo Day! 

MY FAVORITE SHOW:

I have to mention that my absolute favorite show is All Creatures Great & Small on PBS. I also recently read the book it was based on and loved it!
